Location recce

  School playground 

The playground is a very suitable location as it is appropriate for my film as my film is in a school and the storyline of my film is bullying and a playground would be perfect for me to have the actors bully the main character. In most film the canteen or school playground is used when a film is based on bullying hence why i have used the playground to fit in with my storyline and allow my film to flow. As the playground is in the school i will have access via permission for the location. I will also have access to camera equipment and audio equipment such as a rode mic to make my audio clear. I am able to carry the tripod and camera here as well. 

The hallway in the school is another appropriate location to film, as it aligns well with my storyline as my film is about bullying and my main character comes through here making her way up to the  other locations i have chosen around the school. Another benefit I have is being able to have access to the equipment whilst filming which is very helpful. I am also able to carry the camera equipment around to the locations within the school and it will not be an issue to maneuverer the equipment to the different locations. 

Stairs

 The stairs towards media is suitable and ideal for my film as the main character comes here to run away from being bullied to be somewhere safe on her way to her comfort classroom. The location being in the school benefits me as i can carry the equipment around the school with the help of my actors helping carrying it too. This location is appropriate as as you can see all the lights work and it will not interrupt the use of cinematography in my film. 

Mini business stairs towards media

 These stairs will help build suspense in my film when the bullies walk up to sneak into one of the classrooms to continue their mission on bullying the main character as i will have them speed walk and have them say their given lines making the film have suspense built. This location being within school also helps me have access to the camera equipment. I am able to take the camera equipment here as it is just outside the room where the camera equipment is stored which is convenient for me. 

Upstairs hallway

 This hallway is suitable for my film as the main character walks down here and the plot of my film happens here where she gets bullied more and cries shortly after. In this hallway the main character has a moment to themselves where they have a soliloquy and express their feelings to the audience. This hallway is located in the school which is beneficial for me as it is not far from where the camera equipment is stored, i can carry it out to the hallway which is helpful. 

Chadwell academy room 65

The classroom is essential for me to film in as my film is based in a school and i had access to this room via permission. This location was suitable for my film as well as the storyline. Filming in this room wont be an issue with the camera equipment as they are stored in the room within room 65 so i can have access to the equipment with no issues. The school also have audio equipment i can use whilst in the school which helps me with having clear audio in my short film, this saves me time when editing. 

Business stairs  

 

The business stairs is used at least twice within my film. This location from upstairs and downstairs is suitable for my film as i have access to the location and the storage room for the camera equipment is not far from the business stairs, this allows me to be able to carry the camera equipment here to film. This location is appropriate as the lights downstairs has slightly darker lighting due to motion lighting hence this part of the hallway was dark and further down it is lit up as there is windows from the ceiling allowing natural light to stream down into the building.
